I’ve been in your shoes before

About me:

When my daughter Poppy was diagnosed with severe bilateral hip dysplasia at just four weeks old, our lives quickly became filled with doctor’s appointments, treatments, and post-op care. For the first few years of her life, she was in one form of treatment or another. The good news is that today, she walks, runs, jumps, and dances like any other active preschooler.

Through this journey, I gained invaluable experience navigating the healthcare system, coordinating care, and advocating for my child’s needs. However, the experience left me burnt out and disappointed to have been so distracted during my daughter’s first few years while I was so wrapped up in the healthcare system. By sharing my story, I learned that I was far from alone and started supporting other parents in a similar situation. Now, I’m dedicated to helping parents navigate their child’s diagnosis while continuing to focus on what matters most: their family.
